The Speakers

  • Simone Stolzoff

author of The Good Enough Job, writer (The Atlantic, National Geographic, The New York Times), former Design Lead at IDEO

Simone and Molly met as TED conference speakers, and the Glue Club team loved his talk, which was based on his book, the Good Enough Job, about how work became the primary source of meaning and identity in Americans’ lives. He teaches courses on designing your next career and writes about things like career design and work life balance. He’s got a new book in the works called Unknowing: the Courage of Not Being Sure.

  • Geoff Donaker

Founder & General Partner at Burst Capital, former COO of Yelp

Geoff was a member of the Breakfast Club, which is the group of COOs with whom Molly met regularly over 5 years (and inspired her to start the Glue Club). He has had a long career in the tech world, including seeing the 2000 bust and then going on to work at eBay in the early days. Geoff went on to be employee #15 at Yelp and remained the COO there for 14 years through their IPO and beyond. He’s also now been an investor for 8 years and has a lot of thoughts about early stage building. With all the battle scars of his career, Geoff has great stories and lots of helpful frameworks.

  • Emily Kramer

author of the MKT1 Newsletter, former Head of Marketing at Asana & Carta

Emily has built and led marketing teams from the ground up at Asana and Carta, among others. She now writes an exceptional Substack and advises and invests in tech companies. She also bravely sued her former employer Carta over gender discrimination. She has a lot of wisdom about building go-to-market engines and teams at early stage companies.

The Retreat

We invite you to kick off 2025 with a pause -- to disconnect from the day-to-day and find the space needed for personal reflection and deep connection with a small group of peers. In groups and one-to-one, we will share experiences, work through challenges, and support one another as we explore our past journeys and build our paths forward. We will spend time outdoors in Costanoa’s beautiful surroundings - enjoying a campfire, stargazing, and moving our bodies.

We ask that everyone come for the entire event, starting with Tuesday night’s dinner, so please make sure the days work for you before committing.
